This blend is naturally palatable, making it the perfect gateway matcha for those who usually reach for sugar. It features a naturally rich, smooth, and creamy mouthfeel with notes of toasted nuts, floral accents, mellow umami, low bitterness, and a gentle vegetal finish.
This matcha blend consists of notable cultivars such as Saemidori and Okumidori, two of Japan’s most prized varieties for high-grade matcha, sourced from the volcanic-rich soils of Kagoshima. While the national market is dominated by common varieties, Saemidori and Okumidori are significantly rarer, together representing less than 8% of Japan's total tea cultivation area.
It is best appreciated without sugar to fully experience its subtle notes, though its naturally robust flavor remains even when lightly sweetened. This tea is versatile enough to be enjoyed as koicha, usucha, or a latte.
